What wins did you experience during our time together?

My biggest goal was to be more comfortable. And that certainly happened. I had a small amount of weight loss, increase in energy, less fullness and bloating “feeling yucky after eating” and a big improvement in movement. I also had a mindset change about food. I no longer feel as though I have to finish everything. I allow myself grace  when I have a day that doesn’t go as planned. I don’t “throw away” my healthy habits because of a “bad day”.  I believe feeling physically better can be attributed to the increase in protein and fiber. My mindset change has been that no foods are off limits and I can still enjoy cooking and having fun with friends and feel good!

What would you like other women to know about working with me?

There is never a “one size fits all” in Nutrition  counseling. Jordan brings the science of nutrition and balances it with the realities of your individual needs and goals.  She was exactly what I needed during a physically difficult time in my life. She is relate-able and authentic.   Working with a dietitian is a form of self care. It has done more for me than the years of weight watchers program and in the long run cost less!

What have you been able to achieve in your health since working together?

I have lost a small amount of weight. My cholesterol has lowered by 10 points!  I feel physically better. I have increased my activity. I have a great sleep ritual.I have increased my water intake.  I have changed my mindset regarding food. I still love food. I love cooking, baking, eating and all the food things! But I now have a better balance and mindset. I can enjoy food and still fuel my body with what it needs to feel good.

 

Is there anything else you would like to add?

Jordan was very accessible during our time together. I always had support. She was quick to give me feedback between our sessions.

What wins did you experience during our time together?

Definitely weight loss and overall body image was a huge win. More important though was having a plan and being given tools to use for sustaining eating habits for life. This wasn't a one time fix all, but an overall change for the better in terms of mind-set and what my body needs in calories, food groups, and water in-take to thrive.

 

What would you like other women to know about working with me?

Jordan empowers you to make life-long changes and is determined to support, educate, and encourage eating habits that are sustainable long after the goal weight is reached or after the 1 on 1 meetings end.

What have you been able to achieve in your health since working together?

1) I ended my lifelong addiction to sugar. I no longer walk around all day obsessing where my next sugar intake will come from. 2) I learned about the right protein and fiber ratio for me along with tools to keep track and plan my meals. I started drinking water, daily!  3) I changed the way my body looked and was happy to see physical changes in areas of my body that I felt unhappy with.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

So much of what we experience as women in terms of eating and our body is controlled by what we see on media or experience from generations of misinformation. There is no magic pill, no good foods and bad foods and definitely no one size fits all. Let Jordan be your guide into what your body needs to thrive. Throw away all the bad information and horrible dieting experiences. We don't need to starve or cut out food groups. We don't need to miss out on food we love. What we need to do is understand how hormones in our body work and how certain foods provide sustaining fullness.

What wins did you experience during our time together?

Weight loss, mindset improvements, and more importantly, I learned more about the quality of food and other behaviors (activity level, sleep, etc.) that will help me reach my long-term goals.

What would you like other women to know about working with me?

My only regret is that I wish I had met Jordan years ago so I could have had this knowledge earlier. It's never too late though and I think you will find working with her to be very educational and also find she can help you reach your goals.

What have you been able to achieve in your health since working together?

I have a better understanding of what components to put together in creating my meals that will provide satiety, but also help with my long term goals. I experienced weight loss and had to go down a size in clothing. I have new behaviors/goals that I work towards because I know I feel more energetic and all around better when I adhere to them. I believe I may also be lowering my risk for certain health problems.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

I love the positive message and encouragement Jordan provides. She has clinical experience and also her own experiences so she can relate to many of the same things. She also gives really helpful practical and realistic advice.

Please explain more about you, your life, and your nutrition struggles?

I am Jordan, a mother of an 18 month boy with another on the way. I have struggled with weight and body image most of my life. I struggle with portion control and wanting to eat any food I see.

What have you tried in the past to reach your goals?

Weight watchers, 30/10, keto

What made you say YES to working with me?

Non-restrictive diet changes and more calorie intake, great match of personality!

What results have you experienced so far?

Experienced weight loss and maintenance in my first trimester of pregnancy. Change in mindset about food and self love.

What would you say to someone starting their own wellness journey? 

Don’t choose an unrealistic fad diet, set goals that are something you can accomplish, work with an actual dietician!

Jordan was amazing to work with and helped me through more than just nutrition. She offered great support for mental health as well!
